Holistic Approach
My approach is guided by 10 core principles that shape the way I work with individuals to foster intellectual and personal growth. These principles emphasize embracing imperfection, confronting the unconscious forces that influence our desires, and moving beyond the endless pursuit of self-optimization.
This coaching is not therapy. I am not a licensed therapist, but a coach who offers a reflective, deep-dive process grounded in psychoanalytic theory, philosophy, and critical thought. Through this process, we examine the patterns and beliefs that shape your experiences, while also engaging with the ways social structures—such as race, gender, and identity—impact your journey.
The work focuses on questioning, uncovering, and confronting limiting patterns and ideologies that may hinder your growth. We create space for new possibilities by exploring how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. The goal is not to offer quick fixes, but to empower you to understand your desires and shape a path that aligns with your true values.
Whether you're seeking a deeper exploration of personal challenges or academic guidance in writing and critical thinking, my coaching fosters the space for meaningful change and intellectual engagement.
1. Embrace Imperfection
I believe true growth comes not from the pursuit of an unattainable ideal but from confronting the imperfections and contradictions that define us. It's through accepting our inherent gaps that transformation becomes possible.
2. Question Unseen Forces
Many of our thoughts and behaviors are shaped by forces beyond our conscious awareness. I encourage clients to uncover and reflect on these hidden influences, so they can move beyond reactive patterns and make more conscious, informed decisions.
3. Move Beyond the Drive for Perfection
Perfectionism can trap us in endless cycles of striving. I guide clients to let go of this futile pursuit and focus instead on embracing their complexity and contradictions, which is where true growth occurs.
4. Redefine Success
Success is often defined externally by societal norms. I help clients reframe success to reflect their authentic desires and values, allowing them to feel more aligned with their true selves and less bound by external measures of worth.
5. Invite Philosophical Depth and Reflection
Life is filled with deeper questions about who we are and what we truly desire. I encourage clients to engage in reflective inquiry, examining their lives through a philosophical lens that goes beyond surface-level answers and taps into their deepest motivations.
6. Accept Uncertainty
Life is inherently uncertain, and growth often occurs in the face of the unknown. I help clients embrace uncertainty as a space for potential, rather than something to fear or avoid, and to live more fully in the present moment.
7. Foster Intellectual and Personal Growth
Intellectual and personal growth are not separate—they are deeply interconnected. I support clients in developing both their minds and emotional intelligence, recognizing that self-understanding is holistic and requires nurturing both dimensions simultaneously.
8. Prioritize Self-Reflection over Self-Improvement
True transformation comes from deep self-reflection rather than the constant push to improve. I guide clients to turn inward, to reflect on their desires, actions, and life choices, and to make changes based on understanding, not pressure.
9. Live with the Unknown
The unknown is a part of life, and I help clients cultivate resilience in facing it. Instead of trying to control everything, I support clients in navigating life’s uncertainties with flexibility and openness, allowing space for growth and discovery.
10. Promote Holistic Growth
I believe in the integration of the intellectual and emotional aspects of growth. By nurturing both, clients can achieve a more balanced and fulfilling sense of self, where their inner world and outer actions align and support each other.
